Afternoon;

Good win last night against Dirty Donkins; What were the highlights, keep me up to speed as to who did what; Rob said it was a good team performance, who were the wicket takers; run scorer`s star fielders etc, and what was the score.

Great to get the team spirit back in shape, starting to feel like it did when we first started, probably winning a few helps;

See you Wed

  1. I don't have the score book, so we need Statto to fill in the fine detail but essentially; we got up to about 120 on a green wicket providing plenty of 'interest' for the bowlers. Skipper controversially mixed up the batting order and we opened with Nalty and Tom. Jamie should have opened with Nalty but as usual he was late ; )
    With the runs flowing (quite literally - Tom had had a dodgy kebab the day before and was carrying an emergency arse cleaning tackle bag) Tom was out on about 20 and Nalty went on to 28 rtrd. Rather than the usual collection of ringers, they actually had a set of mixed ability bowlers (including a man wearing golf shoes), so most folk got a few runs as we went through the order. Further down the order Bez chipped in, Mr Cholmondley-Warner added a quick 10 or so and I rtrd on 28 off the last ball. Oh, and Andy Keighthly ran himself out. Obviously I was at the other end, not getting involved.
    Everyone then bowled pretty well (me being easily most expensive). The 'best fielder in the club' took a great running catch and a couple of wickets. With only one retirement we bowled them out for around 90. Brook and Greg closed out the innings nicely and Meakin was a central character again with the last man run out.
